Hello everyone! I’m Kelvin, hailing from Hong Kong. Alongside my beloved partner, we embarked on a journey to the majestic landscapes of Vancouver, Canada. Our hearts were drawn by the whispering pines and the tranquil shores, and here we are, immersing ourselves in the English language and the serene embrace of nature.
How do you spend your free time in Vancouver?
Most days, you’ll find me traversing the verdant trails with my friends. Occasionally, I savor tranquil moments in a cozy café, sharing warm sips of coffee with my wife.
What some challenges you’ve faced with moving to Canada?
Vancouver is a city of rain and hidden mountain secrets, where kindness fills the air and smiles are freely given. But it’s not all easy; finding a job can be tough, like navigating a maze. Interviews come and go, filled with hope and doubt.
Which place would you recommend to someone visiting your country?
If you’re visiting Vancouver, don’t miss Squamish. It’s a place of stunning natural beauty, with towering cliffs and lush forests. The Stawamus Chief is a highlight, a huge rock that climbers love. The town itself is full of life, with stories of outdoor adventures shared over coffee. For a breathtaking view, take the Sea to Sky Gondola up the mountain. Squamish is a must-see for its scenic landscapes and friendly community.
What are you hoping to achieve during your time at MOSAIC?
Embarking on a linguistic odyssey, I hope to refine my English dialogue, and I seek to unravel the tapestry of diverse cultures.
