At MOSAIC, we want to make registering for your IELTS test as simple as possible. This page will tell you everything you need to know about the process, divided into three main categories.

First, you will be asked to select test format, date and location.

Next, you must upload a valid Identification (Passport or PR CARD) to your account.

Finally, you will pay for the test.

We know that this can be an overwhelming process, but we are here to help every step of the way. Please see below for a detailed guide on these steps.

 


 

Registering for the Test in 10 Easy Steps

 

Step 1: Go to https://engage.mosaicbc.org/ielts and click “REGISTER NOW: IELTS ON PAPER OR IELTS ON COMPUTER” and you will be redirected to the registration portal.

 
 

Step 2: Choose what type of test you want to take; IELTS Academic or IELTS General Training.

 
 

Step 3: Choose the location where you will take the exam. MOSAIC engage has convenient locations in Vancouver, Burnaby, and Surrey.

Step 4: After you have chosen the location, check “I have accessibility needs for the test dateif you want a special arrangement on your test. Otherwise, leave it blank

Step 5: Choose which format of IELTS test you would like to take. NOTE: One Skill Retake Test is only available with IELTS on Computer.

Step 6: Choose a calendar date that suits your schedule and click “Search for tests” button. NOTE: MOSAIC Engage IELTS is open 7 days a week for a computer-delivered test.

 
 

Step 7: After you have selected the date, you will see all the information about the date and time for your test and click “Book test”. 

The price is CAD350 without Tax, for both IELTS on Computer and IELTS on Paper.

NOTE: You can change your speaking test time if you don’t want to do it on the same day.

 
 

Step 8: Enter your email address to create a new account or if you already have an account from the British Council IELTS Account and click Check email address

 
 

Step 9: After you have entered and verified your email address, it will automatically redirect to the British Council Register for account.

Enter your email address and password, then tick the terms and conditions.

Once done, click Register for an account.

 
 

A verification code will be sent to your email. Once verified, click Complete registration.​

Step 10: You will be asked to input all your information and complete the process. Personal Details, and Upload Proof of Identification.

NOTE: Double check all your details before you submit and proceed to the Payment process.

Step 11: Complete the Payment within the timeframe specified. Once complete, you will receive a notification in your email confirming all your information to your test date. ​

 
 

 

Uploading your ID

What is the deadline for uploading the ID?

Please upload your ID during your registration. If you are unable to do it, you can come back and upload the ID at a later time. Please ensure the ID is upload to confirm your test registration.

What are the requirements for uploading the scan of my ID?

To make sure it is not rejected ensure it is a clear colour scan of your biographic page (the page with your name and photo) of the Passport. ID’s that are not clear will be rejected by the system. Black and white scans as well will be rejected by the system.

What to do if I am unable to upload my ID at a later time?

Please reach out to us via email: ielts@mosaicbc.org and we will respond within 1 business day. Or give us a call on 604-362-0024 between Monday and Friday; 11 am to 3 pm.


 

Trouble uploading the ID?

I am having trouble uploading my ID to the system. Can you help?

Definitely! Our offices are open Monday to Friday between 11 am and 3 pm. We can help you to upload your ID at Surrey location. You can also book an appointment here.

What is the cost of this service?

Nothing, we will do this for free if you are submitting within the timeline.

How long will it take for you to upload my ID?

Appointments are generally for 30 minutes, and we will be able to upload it immediately.

 

 

Test Cancellations due to not Uploading your ID

How long do I have to upload my ID after registration?

It is your responsibility to upload your ID. If you do not upload your ID to your account within 24 hours of registration, we reserve the right to cancel your test registration.
If your test is within 5 days from the date of registration, you must upload your ID immediately and 24 Hour rule will not apply.

If my registration is cancelled due to not submitting valid Passport/PR card, can I transfer to a future date?

Yes, you need to pay $40 Admin charges and fill out a transfer form requesting a future date. We would be able to reschedule for a future date subject to availability. You also must upload your ID to your test portal or book an appointment to visit our Surrey location at 203-7134 King George Blvd, Surrey

How much does it cost to have my test date transferred or restored for not submitting valid Passport/PR card?

We would charge an admin fee of $40.

Is the transfer to a new date automatic?

Please note that the change to a new test date is subject to availability.

What are the steps to requesting a transfer to a new date if my test is cancelled for not submitting ID in time?
