Tell me about yourself?
I am Monica from Colombia, 30 years old. I am an outgoing, simple, and warm person.
Among many other countries, why did you choose to come to Canada?
I chose Canada because I heard that it had excellent academic and job opportunities, that it is a safe country and welcomed immigrants, also that it is in the same continent as my country of origin which makes it easier when I want to visit my family.
What did you do back in your hometown and what are you currently doing in Vancouver?
In my hometown I am a psychologist, and I was working as a psychologist for 5 years, until I decided to start from scratch in Canada. In Vancouver I did a post-degree diploma in Human Resources Management. Since I graduated, I have been working in human resources/recruitment.
What activities you would recommend in Vancouver or perhaps in your hometown if we visit!
In Vancouver I recommend enjoying nature especially in winter, its breathtaking scenery, adventurous snowshoeing, snowboarding, skiing and all the outdoor activities you can.
How did you hear about MOSAIC Engage and how are you enjoying it so far?
So far, I have found it to be an excellent institution, not only to study English, but I have been able to learn about all the processes and projects they do to help newcomers to Canada to be successful.
