Master IELTS with a Fun Daily Routine!

Yeonkab Jeong’s Study Journey

Are you ready to conquer IELTS and make English learning part of your everyday life? Let’s turn your study plan into something exciting and achievable!

Why IELTS?

IELTS opens doors to global opportunities whether for study, work, or immigration. Success doesn’t happen overnight; it’s all about consistent practice and making learning enjoyable.

Your Daily 1-Hour IELTS Power Routine

Listening (15 min)
Start your day with a podcast or TED Talk. Think like a detective spot keywords, predict answers, and jot down notes.
Bonus: Challenge yourself with British accents! I used to watch short British films to get familiar with the accent. During commutes, I played TED Talks, even though it was distracting at first, it really helped me get comfortable with different accents.

2. Reading (15 min)
Pick an article from The Guardian or National Geographic. Skim for the main idea, scan for details, then summarize in 2–3 sentences. Treat it like writing a mini blog review!
Tip: Start with short articles and gradually increase the length as you improve.

3. Writing (20–30 min)
Alternate between Task 1 (charts/graphs) and Task 2 (essays). Remember:
Intro → Body → Conclusion
Pro tip: Use new vocabulary every day, make it a game! This helps it come naturally and saves time for brainstorming your main points, sometimes memorizing your favourite  sentences help!

4. Speaking (15 min)
Record yourself answering fun questions like:
"Describe your favorite place in the world."
Listen back and note areas for improvement.
Bonus: Pretend you’re hosting a podcast or TV show, it makes practice more fun and natural!

Weekly Challenge

  • Take one full Listening or Reading test.

  • Write two essays and self-check using IELTS band descriptors.

  • Practice speaking with a friend or join an online group—make it social!

Why This Works

Consistency beats cramming. By mixing listening, reading, writing, and speaking daily, you’ll build confidence and fluency naturally. Plus, it’s fun when you treat it like a creative project!
