Tell us a bit about yourself.
Hello, my name is Beatrize and I am originally from Brazil!
In my free time, I really enjoy going to the park with my family, specially the ones that are in Burnaby, like Central park, they are amazing and really beatiful. Swimming is another activity that I really like!
How do you spend your free time in Vancouver?
I usually love taking walks on the park or just being outdoors!
Another perfect day for me is going out to eat at a restaurant with friends and family, or simply enjoying doing nothing and watching a movie at home.
What are some of the challenges you’ve faced moving to Canada?
Something challenging for me has been learning the language, but that is why I decided to take English classes at MOSAIC Engage! And since I started, I have been improving little by little… I am getting there.
And getting used to the food options as well. Since we’re from South America, it is not always easy to find all the ingredients we normally use to cook our traditional meals.
What place would you recommend to someone visiting Canada for the first time?
I would recommend to visit Deep Cove, it is very nice!
