This week, meet our students Denis and Mariia, who recently arrived in Vancouver from Ukraine.
Tell us about yourselves
Our close-knit family moved to Canada a year ago from Ukraine. We are inspired by the cultural diversity of Vancouver, the opportunity to meet interesting people from all over the world.
How are you enjoying Vancouver and your classes?
English lessons in MOSAIC are fun. The skills we’ve acquired here help us to adapt more quickly to our new life in Vancouver.
What do you like about MOSAIC?
We admire that teachers and MOSAIC team are people who love what they do. We like the way the lessons are structured and focused on communication and practice.
What are your hobbies?
We like to spend our free time outdoors hiking or exploring new places.
Any recommendations for things to do in Vancouver?
Vancouver area is surrounded by breathtaking nature. Our favorite is Golden Ears Park that fascinate with jade water of streams and waterfalls, scenic mountains and fresh forest air.
What should we know about this city or MOSAIC?
Ethnic diversity of Vancouver allows us to participate in different cultural events and enjoy variety of cuisine.
