Tell us about yourself.
I am from Mexico, I live with my wife and my two daughters, I studied a bachelor's degree in architecture and studied "CAD & BIM Technician Diploma" at Vancouver Community College, I have been living in Vancouver for 3 years.
How do you spend your free time in Vancouver?
My family and I enjoy visiting new places and going to the movie theater, in particular, I love using my bike on weekends.
What are some challenges you’ve faced with moving to Canada?
Many things I had to get over:
a) the language was my first obstacle
b) Studying after more than 20 years was hard, I had to study with people much younger than me and the pace of learning was faster and I was no longer used to it and I had to work harder.
c) The fact that I changed my lifestyle from my country and that I had to start over in this country
Which place would you recommend to someone visiting your country or Vancouver?
Restaurant Monarca near the Waterfront.
What are you hoping to achieve during your time at MOSAIC?
I hope to speak more fluently and get a better score on the Celpip test.
