Car Free Day: Main Street
It may be September but summer isn’t over yet! Check out yet another Car Free Day Event this Sunday, September 15th. This time the fun and festivities will take place along Main Street in the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood of Vancouver!
Join this free block party-style festival where you can eat delicious treats and snacks from food vendors and local restaurants! There will also be an array of market vendors selling artisan good and locally made products that are great for gifts. Get ready to enjoy live entertainment including music and dance along with family-friendly entertainment and activities! This huge event will also feature more than 35 performers on six different stages spread out along the street!
Car Free Vancouver Society is a non-profit organization that is passionate about reducing congestion, promoting zero waste, active transportation, sustainability and community spaces. To support the mission, the organization hosts Car Free Days Vancouver annually by closing busy streets with car traffic. This allows hundreds of thousands surrounding Vancouver communities to gather and enjoy day-long festivals.
