Banff is one of the most iconic places in Canada

1) Tell us about yourself.

Hi, my name is Hyeyoon, and I am from Korea. I live in Vancouver with my husband and my son. I moved to Canada 13 years ago.

2) How do you spend your free time in Vancouver?

I usually stay at home, doing the cleaning and the laundry, but not cooking! I don’t like it. My husband is the one doing all the cooking!

3) What are some of the challenges you’ve faced moving to Canada?

Not speaking the language and making friends!

Also, getting used to the weather has been a bit of challenge, I would say!

4) What do you hope to achieve during your stay at MOSAIC Engage?

I would like to improve my English!

5) What place would you recommend to someone visiting Canada from your country?

Definitely, Banff!

Did you know…?

Banff is one of the best places in Canada for outdoor adventure, scenic drives, wildlife, and relaxing mountain-town vibes.

Whether you go in summer or winter, there’s a huge range of things to do in and around Banff National Park.

If you are planning on visiting Banff soon, take a look of the things you can do there:

  • Ride the Banff Gondola up Sulphur Mountain for panoramic Rocky Mountain views.

  • Visit iconic lakes like Lake Louise and Moraine Lake.

  • Drive the Icefields Parkway — considered one of the world’s most scenic highways.

  • Walk through Cascade of Time Garden near downtown Banff.

  • Catch sunrise or sunset at mountain viewpoints.
