Tell us about yourself.

My name is Mert. I am twenty-nine years old. I an from Turkey and I live in Kitsilano, Vancouver, British Columbia.

How do you spend your free time in Vancouver?

Generally I like playing games and going for a walk. Sometimes I go to the beach with a cup of coffee.

What are some challenges you’ve faced with moving to Canada?

Actually I can say two things; first one is English language. My English not too good. Second one is not recognizing my work experience as valid in Canada.

Which place would you recommend to someone visiting your country?

Turkey is completely beautiful. Every city is different. My recommendation is if you go to Turkey, you should go hungry.

What are you hoping to achieve during your time at MOSAIC?

I want to get to the level of English where I can have daily conversation.
