Community Profile: Munveer

Munveer joined the MOSAIC engage team last month in an administrative capacity. She has years of experience as an English teacher and works at the Commercial Drive office everyday during the week. Make sure to drop by the reception desk to say hi!

Who are you and what do you do at MOSAIC?

I’m the new program assistant at MOSAIC and it’s my job to assist and support students and our team in any way that I can. I also have years of experience teaching English and am here to answer any questions you may have!

Can you recommend a place to visit in Vancouver?

Queen Elizabeth Park is located in the centre of Vancouver and has beautiful flowers and trees as well as interesting walking paths and great views.

I grew up in Vancouver and have lots of good memories spending time there with my family.

I would also recommend having brunch or lunch at Seasons Restaurant which is a hidden gem found in the middle of the park.

The Mount Pleasant neighbourhood is nearby and Main Street is one of my favourite streets to walk along. There are lots of independent shops, restaurants and cafes.

I’m also really excited to be working on Commercial Drive and exploring all of the eclectic places in the area!

You recently joined MOSAIC. How are you enjoying your time here?

I’ve been really enjoying meeting all the wonderful staff members and students, and learning more about our programs and classes.

We have a great team at MOSAIC engage and although I’ve only been working here for about a month, I already feel at home.
