Tell us about yourself.
Hi, my name is Nazanin. I'm originally from Iran, but I currently live in Vancouver for 4 months. I'm studying English and I enjoy learning about different cultures and languages and I love nature and beauty.
How do you spend your free time in Vancouver?
In my free time, I like to explore the beautiful city but I don't like cold weather. During my time here (winter), I went hiking and skiing in Whistler. I also visited beautiful parks and beaches with my new friends, and went to new cafes and restaurants.
What some challenges you’ve faced with moving to Canada?
One of the biggest challenges I've faced since moving to Canada is adjusting to the different culture and language. It can be difficult to communicate with people and understand Canadian customs, but I'm working hard to learn English and adapt to my new home. You should also find a job, in which case it must be said that knowing English is very important in finding a professional job that you like. Even finding friends is no exception to this rule.
Which place would you recommend to someone visiting your country?
Iran is one of the most beautiful countries with amazing food, hospitable and kind people, and ancient places, as well as landscapes that you've only seen in pictures. My country has all four seasons simultaneously and is also connected to the sea from both the north and the south, which contributes to the beauty and lushness in the north and the warm, pleasant weather in the south. beautiful and untouched deserts with accommodation in the center can provide you with a pleasant trip. I would be happy if I could accompany you on this trip.
What are you hoping to achieve during your time at MOSAIC?
I'm hoping to improve my English speaking, writing, and listening skills during my time at MUSAIC. I want to be able to communicate more confidently and effectively in both my personal and professional life, and I'm excited to learn from my teachers and classmates. And since I highly value connections, and I'm currently doing so, finding new friends with different cultures is something that can not only fill each other's loneliness but also allow us to learn a lot from each other and become familiar with each other's cultures.
