Community Profile: Tina
Meet Tina, who has taken several classes with us since 2022. She is now studying in the Advanced class and this week she told us about her life in Vancouver.
Tell me about your self?
My name is Thu ( you can call me Tina) and I’m from a big city in Vietnam. I’m a friendly person and i like to socialize with people. My hobbies are watching Netflix, drinking bubble tea and traveling.
How do you spend your time in Vancouver beside studying?
Beside studying, i work at the nail salon. On the weekend, i usually hang out with my friends. Other than that, i sometimes go shopping mall to treat myself.
What did you do back in Vietnam and what do you do in Vancouver?
In Vietnam, i used to be a Kindergarten teacher. This is my first job after i graduated. I worked there over 4 years then i decided to move to Canada to start a new life. My present job is a Nail technician and i love my job. This job allow me to develop my creativity and give me a chance to meet people.
What is your comfort food, and do you have any restaurants that we can find your comfort food in Vancouver?
My comfort food is Bun Bo Hue, Beef Pho and seafood. The Vietnamese restaurant that i really like is Ganh Vietnamese Kitchen, Bun Bo Xu Hue. You should come to try our food because they are both on Kingsway street.
How are you enjoying studying in MOSAIC?
I really enjoy the time studying at Mosaic where i meet a lot of people from different countries. We share each other about our country. Mosaic is the best school that i’ve ever studied.
