We are excited to share that the 6th Annual Empowered Black Girl Conference is happening on July 9–10, 2026, at the beautiful Shadbolt Centre for the Arts in Burnaby, BC.


This impactful two-day event is designed to uplift, inspire, and empower Black girls and young women in Grades 7–12—creating a space where they can grow, connect, and embrace their full potential.

✨ This Year’s Theme: Becoming Her

 

The 2026 theme, “Becoming Her,” is all about self-discovery, confidence, and stepping boldly into the future.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Explore their identity and personal journey

  • Build confidence and self-esteem

  • Strengthen leadership and communication skills

  • Connect with mentors and like-minded peers

  • Gain tools to navigate life with intention and purpose

Through interactive workshops, storytelling, mentorship, and meaningful conversations, attendees will be encouraged to reflect on who they are—and who they are becoming.
