Events in Vancouver: Carnaval del Sol returns to Vancouver on July 10th

Carnaval del Sol, is returning to Vancouver this summer for its 17th year. The festival will take place at Jonathan Rogers Park from July 11 to 13, offering three days of Latin American culture, food, music, and entertainment.

Organized by Latincouver, the event will feature more than 280 performers, a variety of food vendors and trucks, family-friendly attractions, and several themed areas designed to showcase different aspects of Latin culture. The festival serves as the highlight of a month-long series of Latin American cultural events taking place throughout July.

A major theme of this year’s festival is fútbol (soccer), recognized as an important part of Latin American identity and a sport that brings people together across cultures.

Carnaval del Sol is also collaborating with Filipino BC to celebrate cultural solidarity and community strength. The partnership will include Filipino food, businesses, and artists, along with a special 50/50 fundraising draw supporting victims and survivors affected by the tragic Lapu Lapu incident in April.
