It’s finally time for Vancouver’s most popular event of the summer! The famous CELEBRATION OF LIGHT!

Each year, fireworks artists from three countries compete in Vancouver. Each team creates a beautiful fireworks display set to music representing their country’s unique culture and history.

After two cancelled shows in 2020 and 2021, the show returned in 2022 with Canada, Japan, and Spain facing off over three days. Canada eventually took home the top prize.

For 2023, Australia, Mexico, and the Philippines will be competing.

The event takes place at English Bay and sees hundreds of thousands of people attending each year.

From 2pm to 8pm you’ll find all kinds of family-friendly activities, then at 10pm the fireworks show will begin!

But you don’t have to brave the crowds at English Bay to see the show. These fireworks will be visible from Kitsilano, West Vancouver, and False Creek.
