Events in Vancouver: Festive Village at Burnaby Village Museum

As the holiday season approaches, Burnaby comes alive with charm and nostalgia — and there’s no place quite like the Festive Village at the Burnaby Village Museum. From November 22, 2025, through January 2, 2026 (closed on December 24–25), the Museum transforms into a twinkling winter wonderland.


What Makes Festive Village So Special

  • Free Admission: Entry to the Festive Village is free, welcoming the whole community to stroll, admire, and soak in the holiday spirit.

  • Vintage Carousel: Take a ride on the 1912 C.W. Parker Carousel (a restored treasure). Carousel rides cost $2.71 each.

  • Enchanting Lights & Traditional Décor: The Museum’s 10-acre open-air site is beautifully lit and decorated with classic holiday motifs, creating a nostalgic and warm environment.

  • Themed Activities – Sports & Games: This year’s theme centers on sports and games. Expect themed exhibits and activities that appeal to all ages.

  • Seasonal Entertainment: Enjoy performances from carol singers, roving entertainers, and more. There’s also a scavenger hunt across the village.

  • Meet Father Christmas: Visitors can meet Father Christmas and receive a craft — a wonderful moment for families.

  • Food & Treats: Refuel at Mai’s Café or grab something sweet from Cravings Kettle Corn.

  • Capacity Limits: During busy times, entry might be limited for safety. It’s a good idea to come early or visit on weekdays.

  • Parking: Parking is limited — consider carpooling or using public transport.

  • Hours:

    • November 22 – December 15:

      • Tues–Fri: 1:00 PM – 5:30 PM

      • Sat–Sun: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM

    • December 16 – January 2:

      • Daily: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM (closed December 24 & 25)

  • Last Admission: The last entry into the museum is 30 minutes before closing.
