Events in Vancouver: Party for the Planet
Join Party for the Planet this Saturday, April 27th in Surrey to celebrate Earth Day! This free event will feature live entertainment, food trucks, a sustainable marketplace, environmental education and activities, and much more!
Although Earth Day is officially celebrated every year on April 22nd, Party for the Planet will be held on Saturday, April 22nd from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Surrey Civic Plaza.
The fact that the event is on a weekend will make it possible for more people to join.
Plus, it’s located just steps away from the Surrey Central Skytrain Station on the Expo Line which makes it not only convenient to access but also is also a more environmentally-friendly form of transportation!
In addition to live music and dance performances, there will be food trucks, a sustainable marketplace where you can browse and buy local handmade goods, and a plant sale where you can learn about and purchase native plants for your outdoor space!
There will also be a tomato plant giveaway in which 500 complimentary tomato plants will be given out to attendees!
Make sure to visit the booths in the “Live Green World” to learn about the Environmental Extravaganza programs that are offered this year.
The City Centre Library will also be participating in the Party for the Planet by offering a quiet place to participate in activities including colouring, puzzles, and games for families and people of all ages.
