Events in Vancouver: Pride Parade 2023

This weekend Vancouver hosts one of the biggest gatherings of the entire year; it’s the 2023 Vancouver Pride parade and festival! This festival celebrates the strides that the LGBTQ2IA+ community has made towards equality in Canada and around the world, while also raising awareness of the discrimination still faced by queer people every day.

The weekend will be full of events all over the city, but the biggest and most famous one is surely the Pride Parade. This huge, all-ages event will see thousands of people marching through the streets with colourful floats, dancing, music, and performances.

The annual Pride parade is the largest parade in Western Canada, and one of the largest in North America. The number of spectators who come to the downtown core to watch and support the community can be over 100,000 people! So come out and join the crowd this weekend!

When? Sunday, August 6, 2023. The parade will start at 12:00 p.m. and finish at 3:00 p.m. The Festival will be running from 12:00 pm-8:00 pm on Saturday and 12:00 pm-7:00 pm on Sunday.

Where? Grab a spot anywhere along the parade route, and afterwards head to the festival site at Concord Community Park in Yaletown.
