Events in Vancouver: Richmond Night Market
The Richmond Night Market is officially open again for the Spring and Summer! Experience a delicious array of savoury bites and sweet treats out in the open air!
The first Richmond Night Market was held 23 years ago and it has continued to grow and thrive since then. Originally, the night market was held near the IKEA in Richmond, and although the location was less accessible by public transportation, it still brought out decent crowds each summer.
A lot of locals learned about the Richmond Night Market through word of mouth. After the Canada Line Skytrain was completed in 2010, the Richmond Night Market found its new home conveniently located near Bridgeport Station!
The night market is known for its food, from classic Asian street food to innovative and fun fusion, there’s something for everyone.
There are over 600 international food options to explore as well as 110 retail booths that sell an assortment of goods including clothes, jewellery, potted plants, household items, electronic accessories, etc.
There are also live musical and dance performances and other types of entertainment including games and a bouncy castle for kids.
Each year, the Richmond Night Market has a theme based on the Chinese Zodiac. 2024 is the Year of the Dragon, so this year’s market theme is “Summer Sweet Dragon!”
The market is open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening from 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM with extended hours starting in June. Tickets are $8.50 and there is free admission for kids and seniors.
Located at 8351 River Rd. in Richmond, which is just a block away from the Canada Line-Bridgeport Station and there is also free parking available at the site.
