Events in Vancouver: Turkish Film Festival

Vancouver is a city known for its multicultural festivals, and this is definitely not limited to the summer time! When it gets cold, we just bring our celebrations of heritage and culture indoors.

For example, this weekend you can visit the Vancouver Turkish Film Festival between November 24th and 26th. There will be an opening gala reception, followed by screenings of some of the best films of Turkey and a panel discussion afterwards.

The films you will see at the festival are in Turkish, but they will have English subtitles, so everyone can enjoy them. Events like the opening gala and panel discussion will be in English.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the festival presented by the Turkish Canadian Society, and it will be held at the SFU Goldcorp Centre for the Arts in Gastown.
