The Community Profile is a weekly interview with a member of our MOSAIC engage community. Each week you’ll learn something new about MOSAIC engage and the people who are here to serve the Vancouver newcomer community.
Who are you?
Hi, my name is Yeonkab and I am a Program Support Worker for the English program at MOSAIC engage.
What do you do?
Like my title says, I am here to support our students whenever they need my help. I assist them with registrations, payments, and information.
Basically, I will be your first contact if you want to know about the program or how to sign up for one of our MOSAIC engage services.
If I do not have answers for you yet, then I will get those answers for you! That is why I am here :)
What is your favourite thing about Mosaic?
The best part is meeting people from all around the world. Every time I come to work I learn a bit about other cultures and lifestyles from our clients. I love these fascinating moments I am having with MOSAIC.
What do you like to do when you are not working?
I love cooking and eating. I wish we could have a potluck party every week so I can taste food from everyone’s hometown! Join our classes and you may have a chance to try many dishes at the end of your semester!
Anything you want to say to our students?
I know how hard learning English can be, as I am still learning day by day! So do not stress over your mistakes but use this as your growth! I wish all the best for each of you to achieve your own goal and move onto the next one!
