Anvita Akkur

Anvita Akkur (she/her) is an experienced diversity and inclusion professional specializing in leading organization wide diversity and inclusion programs, strategy development, and inclusive leadership. She has lived experience with equity and inclusion issues as a racialized and queer woman with invisible disabilities.

Anvita currently holds the position of Senior Director of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging at the Canadian Red Cross. Outside of the Red Cross, Anvita enjoys teaching, facilitating, and people from diverse backgrounds to become inclusive leaders.

She holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University.
