What Task 3 Tests
In this task, you describe what you see in a picture. You are not giving opinions or predictions—just clear, organized description.
You usually have 30 seconds to prepare and 60 seconds to speak.
How to Structure Your Answer
A high-scoring answer follows this simple pattern:
Overview – What place is it? What’s the general mood?
Details – Describe people, actions, and positions
Wrap-up – One sentence to summarize the scene
Sample Prompt 1: City Street
Prompt:
Describe what is happening on a busy city street.
Sample Answer:
This picture shows a busy city street during the daytime. There are several cars driving on the road, and a bus is stopped to pick up passengers. On the sidewalk, people are walking in different directions, and some are checking their phones. A few pedestrians are waiting to cross the street at the traffic light.
