Vancouver is set to burst into colour, rhythm, and joyful celebration as Brazilian Carnaval 2026 returns on March 7, 2026, bringing one of the world’s most iconic cultural festivals to the heart of the city. Hosted by Latincouver, this all-day indoor extravaganza promises an immersive journey through Brazilian music, dance, food, and community spirit.
🌟 A Full-Day Celebration for Everyone
From 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the Croatian Cultural Centre will transform into a vibrant hub where families, culture lovers, and party-goers can experience authentic Carnaval energy. Attendees will enjoy a range of festivities throughout the day—from lively cultural programming to a high-energy evening party featuring live bands and Brazilian DJs.
Daytime Highlights (12 PM – 6 PM)
The daytime program is especially family-friendly, offering something for all ages:
Live Brazilian Bands playing samba and axé
Cultural booths and community-led activities
Feijoada, snacks, and desserts from local Brazilian food vendors
Kids Zone with face painting, games, and interactive activities (some activities require a small fee)
Families will love the cultural fusion—parents can enjoy the music and food while kids explore vibrant games and creative spaces.
Evening Party (6 PM – 10 PM)
As the sun sets, the Carnaval energy surges. The evening portion turns into a 19+ high-energy party featuring:
Live bands playing powerful Brazilian rhythms
Samba, axé, batucada, and capoeira performances
Brazilian DJs keeping the dance floor alive
Social dance areas for all levels of dancers
The night promises an electric atmosphere as local and visiting artists take the stage.

This year’s Carnaval is more than a party—it’s a celebration of Brazil’s multicultural roots and the vibrant community that keeps these traditions alive in British Columbia. Presented by Latincouver and the Brazilian Community Association of BC, the event is recognized as one of Western Canada’s largest Brazilian cultural experiences.
🍽️ Food, Drinks & Festive Outfits
Food vendors will serve traditional favourites like feijoada and coxinha, adding flavour to the celebration. Alcoholic beverages will be available in designated areas for guests of legal drinking age.
While there’s no dress code, guests are encouraged to wear colourful, festive, or Brazilian-inspired outfits to enhance the carnival atmosphere. Costumes are welcome too!
