Tell us about yourself.
Hi! My name is Bruna, I'm Brazilian and have a background in architecture and art restoration. I'm married and have two lovely dogs. I moved to Canada about three months ago, and I'm excited to embrace the opportunities this new chapter brings.
How do you spend your free time in Vancouver?
I love taking my dogs for walks around English Bay. It's a fantastic place to relax, especially in the evening when the sunset lights up the scenery beautifully.
What are some challenges you’ve faced with moving to Canada?
Since I've only been here for a short time, I'm still adjusting to some challenges, like the colder weather, being away from my family, and finding work. But I'm staying optimistic and enjoying this new experience.
Which place would you recommend to someone visiting your country?
I'd recommend Ouro Preto, in Minas Gerais, where I was born. It's an amazing historic city, recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site. Ouro Preto is charming, with its hilly streets and well-preserved colonial architecture. It's a perfect destination for anyone interested in history and culture!
What are you hoping to achieve during your time at MOSAIC?
I hope to improve my English and feel more confident in various situations, both personally and professionally.
