About Me & My Journey with MOSAIC
Hi, I’m Manmeet, and I proudly work with MOSAIC as a CELPIP & CLBPT invigilator. My role allows me to support individuals from diverse cultures as they take an important step toward their Canadian journey. It makes me happy knowing I’m helping newcomers feel confident, welcomed, and one step closer to achieving their goals. Communication and connection are at the heart of what I do, and I truly enjoy every moment of it.
My Favourite Places in and Around Vancouver
I love exploring nature and British Columbia has become my paradise. I’ve visited Squamish, Whistler, Nanaimo, and Victoria Island, and each one of them has a special place in my heart. Beacon Hill Park in Victoria is especially beautiful, and I wish to visit it every summer because of the calm and adorable animals there. From mountains touching the sky to peaceful neighbourhoods full of greenery and even the views from the SkyTrain, BC feels beautiful everywhere you look. Whether I am walking across Capilano Suspension Bridge or enjoying the coastal charm of Vancouver, nature always makes me feel happy, alive, and grateful. I truly believe I am a nature girl.
My Most Special Place in the World
One place that will always be the closest to my heart is the Golden Temple (Sri Harmandir Sahib) in Amritsar, Punjab, India. I have been visiting it since childhood, and even in the middle of thousands of people, I find peace, purity, and comfort there. I used to travel for four hours every month just to spend time in that divine atmosphere. Now that I’m far away, I truly miss those moments.
Where I Want to Go Next
I’m in my early twenties, and I want to visit every beautiful place I get the chance to. Life is short and the world is wide! I recently received my U.S. tourist visa, so I’m hoping to plan a trip to the States this summer and explore something new.
My Advice for New English Learners
For New English Learners, English should not only be a goal but a journey where you learn something new every day. Build your confidence by talking to people as often as you can. Make English a part of your daily routine. Even spending fifteen minutes writing, listening, or speaking can help you improve step by step. Do not worry about mistakes because they are a sign that you are learning and trying. Never stop learning. Keep moving forward with consistency and courage, and you will be amazed at the progress you make.
