Community Profile: Our New Year's Resolutions
January is here and we’re officially working on our 2026 New Year’s Resolutions. For this week’s community profile, we surveyed our teachers and admin staff to find out what they hope to achieve in 2026.
“What is your 2026 New Year’s Resolution?”
James (Intermediate Teacher) - I’d like to read at least one book per month, play less video games, and improve my time in a yearly charity 10K run
Jordi (Advanced Teacher) - I want to get off the phone and pick up a book!
Munveer (Program Support Worker) - I want to take a walk outside every day regardless of the weather
Zach (Manager) - Last year I biked across South Korea, so next year I’d like to bike across another country. Maybe Ireland or France?
Chelsea (IELTS Prep Teacher) - I want to save up to do some genealogical research in Scotland and Slovenia
Rob (Beginner Teacher) - Maybe I’ll buy a bike and get into cycling
Patricia D (Program Support Worker) - I want to start hitting the gym more often, and maybe eat less chocolate.
Patricia L (Beginner & Intermediate Teacher) - I’m going to travel more, especially go visit my son in Australia
Alejandra (Program Support Worker) - I want to exercise more and have a bit more time for the things I love, like learning a new language, preparing for a long bike trip, reading, among other fun thing.
Kevan (Beginner Teacher) - Finish my master's degree in Education
Reza (CELPIP Prep & Advanced Teacher) - I have been teaching Farsi for about four years and now we’d like to take it to the next level by creating a website and an online teaching school.
Alcina (Intermediate Teacher) - Probably exercise more, start running, maybe do a marathon
