Events in Vancouver: Carnaval Del Sol
This weekend, the Carnval Del Sol is back at Johnathan Rogers Park! Come check out the food, music, and cultural activities celebrating Latin American culture July 11-12!
Get ready as the sounds of salsa and the smells of sizzling street food take over Vancouver. The Pacific Northwest’s largest Latin American festival returns for its 17th edition at Jonathan Rogers Park from Friday, July 11 to Sunday, July 13.
Hosted by Latincouver, this three-day immersive celebration of Latin American culture will feature over 280 live performances, delicious cuisine, family-friendly fun, and themed plazas for every interest.
New this year: Inspired by the excitement around next year’s international soccer tournaments, don’t miss the Sport Plaza — a high-energy zone with street soccer competitions, fan activations, and appearances by Latin American consulates, Canadian government officials, and more.
This year’s theme, “Embrace Our Passion, Celebrate Together!”, highlights our shared love for football and unity across cultures. Carnaval del Sol is proud to collaborate with Filipino BC in a cultural partnership that includes Filipino food, vendors, artists, and a special 50/50 draw supporting the victims of the April Lapu-Lapu festival tragedy in Vancouver.
From music and dance to community and culture, Carnaval del Sol 2025 promises to be one of Canada’s most vibrant summer festivals. Come celebrate Latin culture, connection, and joy with us.
