Events in Vancouver: Stɑl’əw̓ Pow Wow

The Stɑl’əw̓ Pow Wow is one of the Lower Mainland’s biggest indigenous cultural events of the year. At the event there is singing, dancing and drumming as well as Indigenous artisan vendors.

What is a pow-wow? It is an Indigenous gathering of dance, song and family celebration, traditionally presented by one Indigenous nation to welcome and honour others. Pow-wows are usually three-day weekend events and people may travel great distances to attend.

How much? Admission costs $10 per day or $20 for the full weekend. Children under the age of 6 get in for free
