Language of the Day: Head Start
Today’s idiom of the day is getting a “head start”
This means “an advantage that someone has over other people in something such as a competition or race.”
For example:
“The students who started studying for the test early had a head start over the rest of the class”
OR
”Teaching kids to read at home can give them a head start when they get to school.”
Clearly, getting a head start can be very helpful in life. That’s why I want to introduce you to a MOSAIC program that can provide that help!
The new Head Start LINC program is a FREE 6-week English program for Permanent Residents and Convention Refugees who are waiting to enter the LINC program.
These classes will get you set up for success by teaching you the fundamentals.
