Ece Arslan

Ece Arslan is a learner, researcher, and facilitator, and they work as Instructional Developer for the Centre for Diversity. As a queer and a newcomer/immigrant in Canada, they navigate the intersections of power imbalances such as class, gender, race, and ethnicity, in both the professional environment and in their personal life. They are passionate and motivated about actualizing structural change through increasing involvement by creating engaging spaces for learning and unlearning.

They hold an MA in Sociology from Simon Fraser University and a BSc in International Relations from Middle East Technical University. They also love exploring hiking trails and trying out recipes, imagining our kitchens before colonization.
