Tell us about yourself.

I’m a migrant of Mexican origin who is in Canada to develop myself as a person and a professional, supporting myself in whatever is required, both personally and professionally. I love helping others and meeting people from different generations because that enriches my way of seeing life.

How do you spend your free time in Vanocuver?

I like walking in the forest and enjoy hiking around and along the river. I love meeting new people from different cultures and learning about their customs.

What are some challenges you’ve faced with moving to Canada?

The culture shock has been a big challenge for me, however with the help of other people, I’m adapting. Another great challenge is understanding the language with the different accents.

Which place would you recommend to someone visiting your country?

Mexico City has many places to visit. Xochimilco, Museum of Anthropology, pyramids of Teotihucan, Palacio Nacional, Ghapultepec Castle, to mention a few since there are 180 museums. Mexico city is very interesting.

What are you hoping to achieve during your time at MOSAIC?

Communicate in fluent English, meet people from different cultures and help in whatever way I need so that others can easily adapt to Vancouver, Canada.
