Tell us about yourself.
My name is Stan. I am a friendly and curious person who enjoys learning new things and meeting different people. I like exploring new places and trying new activities. I moved to Canada to find new opportunities and experiences, and I’m excited to be part of such a diverse community. In my free time, I enjoy staying active, spending time outdoors, and connecting with people from various backgrounds.
How do you spend your free time in Vancouver?
In my free time, I enjoy exploring Vancouver and the beautiful nature around it. I like walking in the city, hiking in the mountains, and sometimes camping. I really appreciate the parks, the ocean, and the natural scenery. I also enjoy taking photos and making videos of interesting places. Reading is another hobby of mine, and I often start my mornings with a run in the park. These activities help me stay active and inspired.
What are some challenges you've faced with moving to Canada?
One of the biggest challenges has been the language. Sometimes it’s difficult to understand everything, especially during fast conversations. However, I see this as an opportunity to learn and improve every day. Another challenge has been adjusting to a new culture and a different way of life. Even though it can be hard sometimes, I am learning a lot from the experience.
Which place would you recommend to someone visiting your country?
I would recommend visiting Odessa. It is a beautiful city on the Black Sea with a rich history and unique culture. Odessa is known for its gorgeous beaches, historic architecture, and lively atmosphere. The Black Sea has its own legends and stories, which make the place even more special. It’s a great destination for people who want to enjoy both history and nature.
What are you hoping to achieve during your time at MOSAIC?
During my time at MOSAIC, I hope to improve my English and feel more confident at work. My goal is to grow in my job and learn new skills. I want to better understand how workplaces in Canada are organized and improve my communication. I also want to meet new people and build professional connections. I believe this program will help me develop both personally and professionally.
